My name is Amber and welcome to my blog!

Here’s a little bit about me:

I’m a 22-year-old 2020 college graduate from the University of Missouri. Go Tigers! While there, I pursued a dual-degree in Political Science and Journalism which led me to my now job: working in TV news. I am a reporter and anchor for a TV station located in Champaign, IL.

My true roots are from a small town called Centerview. I grew up in Missouri literally almost all of my life. My graduating high school class was around 50 people…I know, some of you are thinking “wow, that’s small.” And you’re right lol. It was EXTREMELY small. One of those small country towns where everyone knew everything about you. I moved there when I was really young because my parents were military and my dad decided to retire shortly after we moved to the state. So I’ve basically spent my whole life in Missouri…until now.

I live with my amazing boyfriend and our adorable dog Binnington (I know, it sound pretentious, but he’s named after the St. Louis Blues Hockey player and we call him Binny for short). We moved to Champaign 7 months ago and it’s been interesting, to say the least (you know, moving and finding a job during a pandemic).

I love to read, try new places, travel, shop, watch movies, and of course gossip about all things news. So I’ll be talking about allllll kinds of things on this blog, but mainly what it’s like to work in the TV business. I hope you enjoy and follow along with my journey!
